Amanohashidate in Miyazu, Kyoto Prefecture (天橋立)

 Amanohashidate: Sandbar that’s famous for its beautiful scenery of the blue of the sea and the green of the pine trees.

 →In the early Edo period (1603-1867), the Confucian scholar Hayashi Shunsai, who traveled throughout Japan, identified three Japan’s most outstanding landscapes in his book. Amanohashidate is one of those three along with Matsushima (Miyagi) and Miyajima (Hiroshima).
