Nankishirahama Sandanbeki, Shirahama in Wakayama Prefecture (三段壁)
Sandanbeki is a precipitous cliff that is 2 kilometers long and 60 meters high.
There is a sea-eroded cave that extends 36 m beneath Sandanbeki.
This place is also a historical site where the Kumano Suigun(naval forces), known for the Battle of Genpei (1180-1185), hid their boats.

If you have a chance to visit Wakayama, I recommend going to see this unique view. Shirahama has many attractions, and be sure to stop by the nearby fish market and Shirahama Adventure World (next blog).
