Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture~(舞鶴)

Maizuru city is located in northern kyoto.

I’m introducing two major sight seeing spots in city of Maizuru.

Goro Sky Tower

50-meter tall Goro Sky Tower is standing on the top of Goro Hill that’s 300 meters above sea level.

Red Brick Warehouse

This place is approximately 15-20 minutes away from Goro hill. A group of 12 red-brick warehouses, historical buildings are another major spot in Maizuru City. The building had been used as a navy warehouse since the Meiji era (built since 1900~). Currently they house museum, event space, stores, and restaurants.

They sell many selections of “Navy Curry”.

You can see many Self-defense ships at anchor right next to the red brick warehouses.

Maizuru is not as popular as other major cities but it certainly has it’s own color that you don’t see in other places. Getther there might be an issue but if you have a chance to go up there, it’s a lot worth checking out.
